Xiaomi recently ditched the 12S series in the Chinese market and now it looks like the company is ready to bring a few more smartphones under the 12 series but this time for a global launch. According to the tipster the new Xiaomi 12T and Xiaomi 12T Pro smartphones have entered the domestic market in various countries of Asia and Europe. Both phones are rumored to be launching in the coming months and at least one of the two devices could make its debut in the Indian market as well.
Tipster Mukul Sharma revealed on Twitter that internal testing of the Xiaomi 12T and Xiaomi 12T Pro has started in various Asian and European countries. The reporter says that both Xiaomi smartphones could be introduced in a month or two. He adds that at least one of the two smartphones may also be available to Indian consumers.
Today the Xiaomi 12T project report revealed the details. According to the report the 12T model will be equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Ultra processor. Details on this process are still scarce even though it is said to be based on a 5nm process. Speaking of capabilities the smartphone should have a triple camera that includes a 108 megapixel Samsung ISOCELL HM6 primary sensor. The main sensor is expected to be paired with an 8 megapixel Samsung S5K4H7 ultra wide angle lens and a 2 megapixel macro sensor. On the front the Xiaomi 12T may have a 20 megapixel Sony IMX596 snapper for selfies and video calls.
The processor is paired with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. In terms of display the device is said to have an OLED panel capable of offering a resolution of 2712 x 1220 pixels. The display can also house an in-display fingerprint sensor for security.
